A guide to help you sell Used Golf Clubs & Equipment

One of the most annoying things about any new purchase of golf clubs or equipment is the amount you are offered for a trade-in value on your old gear.

If you do not have a friend to sell or give the used golf clubs to, then usually there is no option but to accept the often derisory amount offered.

However the Web has massively increased the market for used golf clubs and equipment. There are lots of golfers out there who see the great value of buying used golf gear without paying massive retail mark-up's.

Follow the easy steps below:

  • Obtain the market price for your golf equipment through online sites or local merchants
  • Decide on the minimum price you are prepared to accept e.g.market price less 10-20%.
  • Register with a proven sales website such as eBay
  • Read and understand the full terms of any sales contract
  • List your used golf equipment either at a fixed price or via auction setting your minimum price
  • eBay charge small fees for listing items for sale.
  • Receive any purchase offers via email.
  • Accept any offer as per fixed price contract or at the expiry of an auction if reserve price is met.
  • Contact the purchaser to arrange shipment and payment details
  • Receive payment and pay commission (eBay 1.75 – 5.25% depending on value)
